| ITW Acquires Pacific Polymers, Inc.
ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS ACQUIRES PACIFIC POLYMERS, INC.Schnee-Morehead, a business unit of the Performance Polymers and Fluids Division of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), has just acquired Pacific Polymers, Inc., a privately owned manufacturer of elastomeric coatings, sealants and membranes for pedestrian and vehicular decks, industrial flooring and specialty coatings for non-gassing, sloped or harsh environments. Pacific Polymers is headquartered in Garden Grove, California and has been a supplier of technically proven products for 37 years. Pacific Polymers is best known in the industry for their Elasto-Deck coating product for pedestrian and vehicular traffic decks. Pacific Polymers is a manufacturer of Division 3, 7, and 9 water and damp proofing products offering design professionals, applicators and contractors a single-source, worldwide supplier of coating, roofing, and moisture barrier systems. Their systems have been installed worldwide and continue to be part of an ever expanding family of distributors and contractors. Many of Pacific Polymers’ systems are used to repair and protect most substrates from the effects of water intrusion, chemicals, harsh conditions, heavy traffic, abrasion and vibration. Some of these systems are designed for new and existing vehicular and pedestrian decks, non-potable water storage tanks, joints, floors and exterior walls, above grade and below grade. Rusty Goger, General Manager, for both Pacific Polymers and Schnee-Morehead, announced the acquisition and commented that both companies will work together to access like distribution channels. He went further to say that, "by having the support of the Performance Polymers and Fluids Division, the financial and technical strength and expertise available will allow the further support of product development, manufacturing efficiencies, and the geographic expansion necessary to increase Pacific Polymers’ ability to better serve its customers." Pacific Polymers is now part of the ITW Performance Polymers and Fluids Division of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), a $16.2 billion in revenues diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables.
